This area is one of the oldest on earth (from a geological view) formed by one thousand and eighthundred years of erosion. There are ca. one hundred Tepuis scattered all across the southeast of Venezuela. Hundreds of waterfalls are
characteristic for this countryside.
The most famous one is the Angel – Fall which plunges from a height of one thousand meters from the Auyan – Tepui into the green depth. But also the Orinoco delta which was formed by the sediments and semens, that the Orinoco brought along. |
